Description

A very delicate and surreal watercolor illustration by Jon Muth from 1982. I remember clearly seeing Jon's work on Moonshadow and Dracula when I was in my late teens. His work and the work Sienkiewicz was doing at the time forever shaped my appreciation of comic art and illustration art in general. Along with what Mike Zulli was doing on Puma Blues, I couldn't believe that artists of this caliber were wasting their time in comics when they could actually draw and paint(forgive my adolescent innocence and naivety of just how great other comic artists were). This piece harkens back to the awe I felt the first time looking at the work of Muth. I will be taking this to the framers soon, it is crying out to be framed.
