OMAC by Andrew Ross MacLean

I've been meaning to commission Andrew again for quite some time and when I finally got around to it I commissioned a few pieces from him. OMAC is the first and Andrew did an amazing job with making OMAC look very awesome and yet very different than he's ever been drawn before. I love the proportions of his body and the added knuckle spikes. Can't wait to show off another commission from Andrew.

Computo and Titania by Andrew Ross MacLean

The first time I ever commissioned Andrew, I sent him a link to gallery of Legion of Super-Heroes reference and asked him to pick out any Legionnaire to draw. To my surprise, he picked Gazelle, one of the least popular and least well-known members of the team. That made me all kinds of happy, because I thought it would be a while before I could get anyone to draw her. Andrew is not very familiar with the Legion, so I know he’ll pick someone truly random when I give him his choice of who to draw. Anyway, this time I gave him a whole bunch of Legion villains to choose from and there’s no way I could have predicted that he’d choose this pairing! Computo is an evil robot from the Silver Age who infamously killed one of Triplicate Girl’s bodies. Titania is a super-strong Super-Assassin who is mostly known for being angry a lot and joining villainous groups who lose in fights with the Legion of Super-Heroes. So of course they’d make the perfect couple! Andrew is insane and I’m not sure where this idea came from, but I love it! Andrew draws a perfect Computo and his version of Titania genuinely looks like she’s in love. My favorite little touch on this piece is how one of Titania’s earrings is poking out through her hair. But I just love the whole thing, from crazy idea to gorgeous inking. Thanks, Andrew!
