Fortress Lad by Nate Stockman & Simon Gough

Fortress Lad is one of the kookiest characters in Legion lore, but I always liked his story. Fortress Lad had the ability to become a protective fortress, and he did this to protect the founding Legionnaires after the very first Legion tryouts. Unfortunately his memory was completely destroyed by a weapon while he was in fortress form, and thus he stayed that way forever, becoming the Legion of Superheroes' first official headquarters. Nate is a fellow Legion fan, and thus someone who I thought would truly appreciate getting to draw Fortress Lad. And Nate did a great job, making Fortress Lad look pretty impressive, while also showing what he became and the Legion flying in the background is the perfect touch. Fantastic work.
