Surtur vs. Orion by Andrew Ross MacLean and Simon Gough

This is the third and final commission of the set I had Andrew draw for me this time. Ever since I saw this piece in Andrew's gallery, I've wanted him to draw a giant Surtur fighting a tiny Orion. And oh boy did he deliver! First off, I love the setting. A lake of cosmic lava is exactly where these two should fight it out. Secondly, Andrew's Orion is just insanely cool-looking! I love the helmet and astro-harness. And thirdly, just look at that Surtur! I really dig the way Andrew drew his head and those chest bumps are freaking me out! A while later, the ever-so-talented Simon Gough added some gorgeous colors to this piece, really making it pop! Thanks again to Andrew and Simon for another great commission!

If Thor can't beat Surtur on his own then I doubt Orion can, but I bet he'd put a serious hurting on him, And knowing Orion, he'd possibly find a way to take Surtur down in some crazy suicidal explosive attack. Either way, this battle might destroy whatever world they're fighting on, so let's hope they keep it in some other dimension.
