Description

This is the cover to Charlton's VENGEANCE SQUAD 5. The Vengeance Squad was a private investigation/security agency run by Eric Redd, an ex-Treasury agent, who was framed and served six years in federal prison. When he left jail, he had learned a lot from the inmates along with "an enduring hatred for most criminals!" His team included former policewoman Candy Orr, and Viet Nam vet Tulsa Coyle. The Squad rarely used guns, relying on martial arts and a lot of high-tech (for the time) equipment.

The book tried to take advantage of the large number of detective shows on TV in 1975, but only survived a year, and 6 issues. In this story, the VS tried to bring down the heroin smuggling ring run by the mastermind known as Mr. Marco Poleau... what a name!
