I don't know why, but I really like these Elias Black Cat splash pages. That is the Harvey version... not Marvel. This is a full page splash from Black Cat 18 (Actually Black Cat Western), cover dated July 1949. This is the splash from the story, Oil Well Menace, the first story in the issue. Classic shot of Black Cat - Linda Turner - facing an angry Indian??? In 1949?
