Description

I purchased this 1983 commission from another collector in 2011 and knew right away I wanted to get it inked. I planned to bring this to the 2012 Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC and as the con approached I kept checking the updates to the guest list hoping to see one name in particular. As luck had it Scott Hanna was added to the show and was kind enough to put some inks on a separate board for me at the show.

Scott is a superstar inker and he even won two inkwell awards at the convention. When I picked up the art he told me a great story about how this early (1983) JRJR piece brought back some memories of his original test inks for Marvel around this period. Many thanks to Scott for taking the time!
