Description

The reason why I love DD and Batman so much from a visual standpoint is because they lend themselves so well to these kinds of gothic environs. This wonderful panel is from a tryout assignment that Ray did for Marvel (which must have gone pretty well since he got the gig). It features an edgy, almost Quesada-like, rendition of ol' hornhead perched atop a truly sinister looking gargoyle. Ray was kind enough to include the page that features this panel in a shipment of artwork that he sent me, and I am really excited about adding it to my collection and about the prospect of seeing Ray's impending professional assignments in the Marvel Universe. Thanks a ton, Ray, and best of luck at the House of Ideas!

An interesting take by Raymund on Daredevil perched on that gargoyle, as Mike mentions, it will be interesting to see his published work.
