Maybe Kirby's most obscure DC character but, as always with Kirby, a cool one. For years all I knew about Atlas was based on the cover to 1st Issue Special #1. When I finally got a copy I realized that while it wasn't his best work I sure would've enjoyed seeing this as a series as opposed to, say, Sandman. This pin-up was actually found on the letters page of the issue and Angel recreated it from Kirby's pencils. -And- colored it by hand. This is the kinda thing I'd hang at the office if I actually had real walls instead of just a cubicle.
