Original Cover Art Painting by Carl Lundgren

This illustration / painting was done by Carl Lundgren, famous for both his rock posters and for having done over 300 science fiction and fantasy covers before 'retiring' to fine art, being nominated for a Hugo at one point for his work.

This large and impressive piece is a fine example of Lundgren's work. In addition to being featured as the dust jacket artwork for the Nancy Springer title Chains of Gold, this work was featured in the book Carl Lundgren: Great Artist on page 36 and in a limited edition print.

In oil on stretched canvas, this painting measures a quite large 28" wide by 42" tall, framed.
I HAVE THE BOOK
Published for the dustjacket artwork on Nancy Springer's Chains of Gold, first edition published in 1986, a year before Lundgren's retirement.
