Batsman by Cory Smith and Simon Gough

I discovered Cory's art through his Twitter account when he was posting his series of Jack Kirby character sketch cards. I really dug those so I asked him if sometime in the future he'd want to do an Asgard/Fourth World commission and he was all for it. So, many moons later when I get around to actually commissioning him, I have him do a Batsman as well because I thought he'd do a killer one. And he did! Batsman was originally going to be crouching in this one (see the rough below) but it evolved into him falling through the air, leaving a trail of bats, which just looks cool. Big thanks to Cory for an awesome commission!

My first thought was to say that this is my favorite Batsman but I think maybe the Stokes is actually my favorite. ... ... ... nope, it's this one.
