Description

Vic Herman (1919-1999) was a prolific cartoonist and comic book artist who published pieces in most of the major magazines of the 40�s and 50�s that carried cartoons, and is best known for his creations, Elsie the Cow, Reddy Kilowatt and Winnie the Wac. This piece has a �Saturday Evening Post� notation, but no other indicia of publication. He is a listed artist and was a frequent contributor to the era�s issues of The Best Cartoons of the Year. He was later called �The Norman Rockwell of Mexico� for his portrayals of Mexican life.

The caption on this page is "Write to me, darling!" Judging from the fashions, this must have been done in the 1940's.

This reminds my wife, our bridesmaid and myself of an incident on our reception line where a busty, but not too focused on reality lady plastered herself on me and had to be "pried loose"-an exaggeration but one often repeated by those who were there..
