Description

This piece combines 3 of my favorite things – the X-Force book Kyle, Yost, and Crain started, the Fastball Special, and Mark Brooks art! Been requesting some commissions recently highlighting some of my favorite stories and I’m glad to count this one among those! The X-force book released in 2008 was great – unique story, interesting mix of characters, nice revamped costume designs, etc. And who’s not a fan of the Fastball Special?!

Mark’s a super nice guy and I’m extremely happy he was able to do this piece at the Phoenix Comicon this year - he referred to it as a Curveball Special, because X-23’s curvy…get it? :-p The colors look great, laid out really nice with great action poses – he seemed into it while he was doing it and I think it shows!
