Description

Some of the best work today is being created at the tip of Gary Frank's pencil. We were all stunned by his work on Superman and Secret Origins but his work on Batman Earth One is the next level in his evolution. So clean, so precise and so well crafted. With a great story written by Geoff Johns. The day I read this story I ran to email and get my hands on some of the artwork.

Luckily this amazing two-page splash was available. Batman desperately trying to save Barbara Gordon from the serial killer "The Birthday Boy". She's trapped inside Arkham Mansion (the story is set before it's the infamous prison) and Batman can hear her turmoil but can't navigate through the fun house interior to get to her. So he takes a shortcut through the wall just as Ms Gordon is about to meet her doom.

On two large artboards this piece jumps out at you when you hold it in your hands. Amazing work!!! Thanks Gary!!!

This is crazy good. Just that shot of Batman busting through the wall is worth it. But the whole thing is really top notch. A great image that really conveys the sense of danger and terror in the scene. Glad it was still available for you to grab. Congratulations!
