DescriptionI recently picked up a twice-up Omega Men page (see my gallery) for a song on eBay, and I asked the seller if he had any other pages for sale (might as well combine shipping when I get the chance). It turned out he had the entirety of the first issue of the Kevin Smith/Phil Hester Green Arrow title, and he was selling it off page by page.My budget was limited, and I ended up picking this page for a nice, affordable price. It's clear why: no costumes, no earth-shattering moment. But it's a great scene that has Smith's fingerprints all over it. At the time of the comic's release in 2001, some said the suggested sexuality of the scene was too much, but I like the spotlighting of the relationship between the title character and Black Canary here. Another cute feature of the page is in addition to the DC copyright stamp on the back of the page, there's another ink stamp that reads "THIS HERE PAGE INKED BY ANDE PARKS." Social/Sharing |
