Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld by Rey Arzeno

Following my meeting Mr Arzeno and purchasing his gorgeous Poison Ivy, I asked him if he would take a commission; he accepted. As to the subject, I asked him if their was a female character that he was interested in drawing and was hoping to be asked to draw ... well "Amethyst" was his answer. Now I confess that I was not familiar with the subject or her story, but after a quick check on the internet and Mr Arzeno's explaination, I was happy to commit to the subject.


Now it is scarce that I have been so happy to ask an artist what he would be interested in drawing, as Mr Arzeno's happiness to draw this commission was visible up to the very last second of giving me this finished work of art. Thanks so much to Mr Arzeno for being willing to part with this stunning work of art.


I also learned a lot about watercolor work from him that day as I saw the pencils become inks and color spread among the page.
