DescriptionClaude Smith (1913-2003) was part of a sophisticated generation of cartoonists. He was published regularly in the two best-paying magazines of his prime, The New Yorker and Playboy. He had a playful style and sense of humor that wears well even today. This is either my 3rd Claude or my 3rd through 10th as it is eight separate pages designed to tell one gag. How does a stacked* blonde avoid unwanted male attention? She borrows a baby. Note the differences between her and the husband-hungry blonde in my "1948 Claude Draft Board New Yorker Cartoon" in my "Other Art-Humor and Whimsy" gallery.
