MEGA SCORE.
I've been working on getting this one since back in 2005. Wasn't able to get it from the artist's rep back then as CB had sold it directly to a collector (1st miss). That guy kept it for about 3 years, then he traded it to another collector (2nd miss) who also had it for about 3 years or so. Now, after 7 years of waiting, queries, emails, tracking, waiting, hoping, disappointment, and negotiation --- I am glad to say it has finally found a home with me!
For my tastes, this cover-quality splash of Magneto is the single best piece Bachalo has ever done – and of course the Townsend inks are awesome (as is always the case)! This is SO at my framer's - and I am just incredibly happy to finally have one of my favorite published Magneto images!
This was great timing for me too. When I realized I'd sold 5 more pieces than I bought last year, it got me itching to buy something Really cool! I feel fortunate to be able to say I can check another top-tier piece off my wantlist!
