Description

I have ideas. This is one of them.

The Blackest Night has hit the small podunk white trash town of South Park, CO. The dead have risen, and heroes such as Mysterion and Mintberry Crunch are unable to stop the hordes. Now, some of the town's most . . . unique residents have found themselves with power rings of the emotional spectrum. Can they defeat the Black Lanterns of South Park?

First up . . . yes, I did consider Wendy to be a Star Sapphire. It wasn't so much her being a girl as it was out of "Well, her outfit is kinda violet already" laziness. But I thought of somebody else to wield the power of love, so I moved Wendy to green on the emotional spectrum. Sure, her love of Stan once got her to get a substitute teacher shot into the sun, but I figure she's got willpower to spare. In terms of being badass, she once beat the crap out of Eric Cartman ("Breast Cancer Show Ever") and pantsed him politically ("Dances With Smurfs").

While Stan and Kyle have had highs and lows, and have occasionally fallen out of favor with fans, I figured they were still worthy of the spotlight as Green Lanterns. And yes, I asked Jason Quinones (already familiar with my special requests) to base Kyle's GL uniform on Kyle Rayner's current look. Also, it looks like Jason threw in Mogo -- the planet Green Lantern!! -- for free.
