Description

Who doesn't like finding a bargin? Whenever my wife and I find ourselves across the country, we are usually hitting every thrift store in town. Recently when my wife had a conference in Seattle, we drove to Vancouver, Canada for a few days for leasure. We ran across a dozen or so VALUE VILLAGE thrift stores along the way and racked up some really cool stuff (vintage MAD boardgame from '79, child's creature from the black lagoon mask from the '70s and enough crap to mail three big boxes home). While browsing through the art section, I came across two vintage ADRIANUS graphic novels from 1983 and while thumbing through them I discovered that both had an original sketch by Dutch artist, ERIC SCHREURS! Known for his filthy Crumb-like material, he has won international awards and is highly regarded in the underground community. Not everyday you run across original art in a thrift store for 99 cents.
