Description
The splash page to The Gallant Six Hundred by Franco Caprioli from the 1968 Lion Annual. One of my favourite strips by the great master of Italian comics. I'm lucky enough to have the whole story.

Mr Caprioli did this story for the Giolitti agency in the 60's, in this case he is not the artist of the "pointillisme" as previously he was for the episodes published on the magazine IL VITTORIOSO, but is always a GREAT artist and made also this time a masterpiece. You are lucky to have a complete episode.

Thank you Roy- I certainly am very fortunate to have found it since very little artwork from the Annuals has survived. Caprioli did quite a lot of work for Look and Learn around the same time as this page was drawn and those are much more pointiliste in their style.
