Donald Duck Standee

1936. Diecut cardboard is 9.25" x 13.75" counter top store display with cardboard easel on back. Used to promote the first Donald Duck hardback book which was published by Grosset and Dunlap. The books cover has the same angry Donald image of him standing on his boat. The book itself contains fourteen color illustrations drawn by the staff of the Walt Disney Studio. A near mint example of this standee sold in 2004 Hake Auction #177 for $18,243.
