DescriptionYou are bidding on the limited 100 print run of printer defect editions of the 2nd Annual Joe Sinnott Inking Challenge, producing an instant collector's item. Joe Sinnott signed several of these at the Albany Comic Con November 2012 where they debuted. The defects include the covers being reversed, some missing info on the Credits page, a missing Thor entry for artist Ken Branch, and a missing Sinnott penciled Captain America in Joe Rubenstein's section before his inked image causing page numbers to not correspond for all entries following his in the table of contents.Another corrected edition is in the works but the autographed copies for it will be signed and numbered to 25 and include signatures by Joe Sinnott, his son Mark who wrote the intro, and editors Jim Tournas and Bob Almond with a cost starting at $30. This is an economical option for getting a legendary artist's signature at the retail price of an unsigned edition. At 148 pages in b&w with glossy color covers, this book measures @ 8.5X11 and includes the work of 28 artists (including their bios, photos and comments) for the purpose of educating what the art form of inking brings to the pencil art of even the master Joe Sinnott. One cover is a portrait of Joe as rendered by Joe Rubenstein, the other an embossed Thor image by Joe Sinnott, J. David Spurlock and Jose Villarrubia. Who shall meet the Challenge? Social/Sharing |
