Description

This piece makes me so happy. I have always enjoyed Sprang's take on Batman. It is vibrant, detailed and slightly whimsical. I never liked and still don't like the smiling Batman but as great pop art Sprang has very few equals. By the way, the piece is very well done. No whiteout, no mistakes. Every stroke and color is perfect and the piece is very large as well. It is a real beauty and I am honored to own it and share it here.

This piece was created and published as a popular print. I bought the print and its companion piece, Secrets of the Batcave, many, many years ago. Little did I know then I would one day own the original. Speaking of which, if anyone knows where the original companion piece is, please send me an email.

I am in shock. Dick Sprang is definitely my favorite Batman artist of all time, and this is just amazing!
