I LOVE sequences. I really really love them because, to me, this is what comics are all about. Storytelling. Covers, action pages, its all pretty, but this is where the stories are written. This is where the emotions come in. When I talked with Brian I made a note of what single page I'd like but I was also secretly hoping that I would be able to afford a bit more. This is my favorite sequence in the entire series. It's an important moment in the relationship between Zayne and Jarael one that could and almost did break them. While I enjoy the happy moments between characters a lot, I also really like the tragic moments, the sad moments.
Here we have Jarael finally finding Zayne after he had been kidnapped and broken (at least mentally) by Chantique. Unfortunately Chantique has done her job well and planted a deep doubt about Jarael in Zaynes mind.
On an artistic level, I love the 4th panel, Zayne in the shadows is a great reflection of his emotional state. The last panel is also a stat that I added digitally. On the original it just says <- stat closer
