When I was asked to do this commission, the buyer wanted a battle scene between 3 of his (and a lot of others) favorite characters; Spider-man, Wolverine, and Venom. I decided to have Spidey holding Venom back (or trying to anyway) as Wolverine attacked him. What would be the first thing Wolverine would slice if he were going against Venom? His tongue!! I thought it would be nice to have Wolverine holding Venom's tongue in one hand while slicing it into pieces with the other. So, that's what I did! Wolverine has the tip of Venom's tongue in his right hand as his left slices Venom's tongue into three pieces (four if you count the part that is still attached to Venom). I think this piece turned out nicely and was really hoping my buyer would like it.
However, about a week ago I received a messagefrom the buyer of this piece saying that his art collection was severely damaged by Sandy and he was not going to be collecting art anymore as it would be too hard to get another collection going. That being the case, since I really have no use for it, I am listing this piece on eBay for anyone that might be interested in owning this piece, or giving it as a Christmas present.
