Description
This wraparound cover is from the storyline Fall From Grace (running from issues #319 - 325) and marked a turning point for Scott McDaniel, as this run was the first time he inked his own cover art.

Marvel was experimenting with a variety of specialty inks, and for this cover they used the glow-in-the-dark ink. Most people don't know that it was Scott McDaniel who started using the neg stat of linework to represent DD's radar. This cover was no exception. This line art was inked, then a stat of the art was reversed, so that the 'black lines on a white background' became 'white lines on a black background.' Then the glowing ink was applied ONLY to DD and the background, specifically avoiding being applied to the Doppleganger. This way, when viewed in the dark, the Doppleganger would disappear, showing that he was invisible to DD's radar. If you have the book close the lights and you will see it glow. Very cool!

In my opinion, the Doppelganger was such a cool DD villain, and nobody can draw him better than Scott.

I've come back to this over and over... each time I'm rendered speechless. An awesome addition to any gallery but I'm happy that you're the one that has it. :)

I had my eye on this for a while. It's nice to see this go to a good home. I also liked the Hellspawn doppelganger,

A Really Excellent Wraparound Cover, with one of the best Daredevil poses by McDaniel, plus great detail on DD & the Doppelganger. The Radar Circles adds a another whole level to the piece. Scott could have easily gone with this version over the Negative version that was published IMO.
