"Sherman" is in fact Sherman Labby.
Maybe it's not really a big secret but it took me a long time to figure this out. Internet research stops at some point and you have to get creative.

Sherman Labby was the production designer and storyboard artist of Blade Runner along with Syd Mead. He also worked on over a 100 movies as concept designer and he's Hollywood royalty really.
