Description

Out of umpty-kajillion original Lone Wolf & Cub pages there are, I believe, exactly none on CAF. So this is nearly as good as it gets- a sketch Kojima made for one of his favorite bars. Tim Finney, my man in Japan, explains: "Regarding autographs in bars, it's fairly common to walk into a restaurant, a bar or even an inn or some such place and see the autographs of the famous or, more likely, semi-famous people who have visited the establishments.... I went to a famous castle town once where they had this old yakitori restaurant that had, amongst many others (apparently it was quite a well-known establishment in and of itself) a drawing of Astro Boy by Tezuka hanging just a little ways away from our table. So, yeah, yours was probably hanging in one for years until the owner probably retired and/or went out of business and had the sense to put it up for auction."
