Description

I got this piece at SDCC 05, when it caught my fancy as I wandered by. The artist, David Colman threw in the somewhat-worse-for-wear frame. It turns out that David Colman is an artist with some background, versatility and considerable skill. He has a good website www.davidsdoodles.com that showcases this. He describes his art as "... my driving force, my reason to live.” He mostly works in animation, most notably (in my mind) designing characters for the movie, "Polar Express". This piece reminds me of a cross between the Bukshot "Raven" and Heather Martin's work. According to David, this, "was a promotional piece for a party invitation, a character line art piece of the host for the evening." So, this is a picture of a real-life hottie.
