Description
From the New World story. The prince himself is absent. But aestethically, I think this is Foster in his prime: The North American coast landscape, the Vikings and the Indians are all Foster-magnificent. The second panel, the one with the Indians attacking the Vikings at night, is one of my favorite single panels in the whole Foster canon. I have included pics of some of the panels. The original is so huge (the arwork measures 86x62 cm) that each panel could be an original page in itself.
I was lucky to see some pieces of Hal Foster in the last Comic On of Barcelona, and the truth is that i was hallucinated, it were spectacular. Congratulations for this amazing new page!.
Very cool. I actually have a page from right around this one-when Val catches up with the Vikings who have taken Aleta after getting directions from the indians. Foster was really untouchable during this period and this page is another example of his excellence!!
Very nice, from a very nice period. Second panel is fantastic, and I like so much those ships and waters as drawn by Foster. The last portrait is also very delicate. A great example.
