one of the most interesting things about this Varcolac story is that mignola drew it twice, once to be published in a horizontal format and a second time in a vertical format so that it would fit the trade paperback format. so it gives us fans a chance to see into the mind of mike. we get to see how amazing mike is at pulling the reader from panel to panel. and frankly, i think this is the best of the redrawn pages!! simply beautiful.... congrats, michael

Great page - I have the horzontal page 1. Mike said he originally thought he'd rearrange the horizontal panels to regualr comic pages, but quickly realized that didn't work for both physical and story/page reasons, and redrew it completely in the different format. I should have bought this page when it was in fron of me in SD, but woulda coulda shoulda is the story of the hobby. Huge congrats!
