DescriptionWrightson - Uncle SaltyI've been watching this for quite some time, and was able to work out a fair deal with Gaetano (aka: Count Orlok) so I can add this to my coming "Yard of Art" dedicated to Bernie Wrightson... Unfortunately, there are very few "small" pieces of Wrightson art, this measuring in at roughly 5" square. The story behind this piece from the original owner (Rob Pistella): "Interesting Wrightson drawing that I found when going through one of Jeffrey Jones' sketchbooks a few years ago at Jones' home...'he must have done one in my book', said Jeffrey... Jeff graciously gave it to me." Is that cool or what? Regardless, it's in my collection and cherished... Again, if anyone has or knows of any smaller pieces of Wrightson art, I'd love a lead on anything available towards my "Yard of Art"... Thanks, -Vaughn PS: The piece is not named, so with the liberty thing again, I chose the title of one of my favorite Aerosmith songs from back in the day!!! If anyone knows any more about likenesses like this, I'd love to know! PSS: The Counts packaging was bulletproof... :) Social/Sharing |
