14x17" coated cardboard sign used as a cold weather radiator protector for vehicles. Features a wonderful image of Mickey as Alpine skier wearing hat with feather and scarf against silver background with text "Unsurpassed" ©1939 Walt Disney Productions with Walt Disney fascimile signature at lower left. Sign is designated "R-160." Sign has a total of ten metal grommets around the sides for display. - During 1939 and 1940 Standard used Disney characters to promote their products in newspaper and magazine ads, on highway billboards, on station posters,; on radiator protectors, on electroliers, on tire covers, on time signals, on post cards, and even in four page colored comics distributed weekly at all Standard stations ("The Travel Tykes weekly"). In addition an eight minute colored cartoon short THE STANDARD PARADE for 1939 was released theatrically and distributed by Standard featuring Disney characters.
