DescriptionBeautiful battle page from the first ever Marvel/DC crossover. In my opinion, one of the greatest superhero comics of all time. Rumor has it that Neal Adams did some pencil work on the Superman figures in this book, and from the looks of this page, John Romita Sr. probably touched up the Spidey figures.Social/Sharing |

Congrats on this significant piece from an important comic. I'd say the Superman figure in the bottom panel is all Adams.

I remember having this book. And, there's two things I remember vividly----obviously, the cover. And, right behind that, this page! What a piece of comic history. And, very well done.

What a great moment out of this unforgetable battle. Superman "finally" has enough of being tossed around by Spider-Man. And in a second, Supes just about loses it, along with Spidey close to losing his head as well. Good thing he pulled that punch! Anyway, a page to be proud of out of a classic key book. Thanks for sharing, John.

One of the best pages from the issue, and that last panel is sooo memorable. As a 10 yr old kid reading this it was soo powerful an image, Spidey getting punched in the nose by Superman! Great addition to your collection.

This is a superb page and one of the most memorable sequences in the story of one of the most memorable comics of my childhood. Also, I agree that Neal Adams worked on the Superman figure in the last panel, though the anatomy looks a lot like Andru's.

Oh yeah! One of my all-time favorite books! The sense of scale and depth was amazing. As a kid, I felt like I could fall right into those pages.

This comic was the coolest and you got some brilliant examples. So much fun here!
