Yes, it's a recreation. By the great Scott Rosema, who I think did a wonderful job recreating this cover for me. Since it became clear quite awhile ago that I would never own a Herge original, I decided a recreation of the cover to my favorite Tintin book of all time would be the next best thing. I heard of Scott through Comicart-L and contacted him to see if he was interested in taking this on. Fortunately he was, and it was a smooth and easy process to get this done. I really love the fine details Scott put into this, including the lettering and logos done by hand.

Does anybody know if the Herge cover art for this book actually exists?
