Very cool! I've always wanted a Pander Bros original. They don't show up too often. Congrats!
WOW!!! A real Herge Tintin? That is amazing. Tintin is my all-time favorite comic, without a doubt. When I was in first grade in the early '70s my family lived in London for a year. I learned to read from Tintin books (and school, of course). But when we moved there I didn't know how to read and I remember "reading" the Tintin books by just following the pictures. By the end of that year I was actually reading the books. They have stayed with me ever since and I re-read them every year. I know I will never be able to afford a Herge original so I live vicariously through you with this wonderful piece of art. Congrats! :-)
This is definitely one of my favorite pieces on CAF. Amazing!
One of my absolute favorites! Check out my comment on the YouTube page for your "show and tell" video you did for Felix Comic Art with my story behind this piece. Needless to say, if you should ever decide to part with it... well, I guess you probably won't. And I don't blame you! Wonderful piece of art.
Awesome page! Any Atlas pre-code horror original art is truly special. What an amazing find.
Wow! I am not familiar with the artist or these sci-fi covers you mentioned in the CAF newsletter interview, but that is one spectacular painting! Love it!
Lovely page! I really want a Quitely Flex Mentallo page for my collection. I agree it's his finest work.
Awesome! You have any of the story pages from these Harvey pre-code stories you're willing to sell? :-)
That is absolutely killer! I sure wish I had one. Congrats!
Wow! For real? That is awesome!
Hey Todd, I'm 99% sure this was never published. Years ago I used to work with Steve and saw him a lot. One day he pulled this piece out of his portfolio to show me. It was just something he'd done for himself, but I knew I must have it. Thankfully he was willing to sell it!
Wow! Wonderful piece of art! I've just recently been turned on to the wonderful art of Franquin. I wish I could read the Spirou et Fantasio stories though!
Well! That is indeed a pretty rockin' page! Congrats!
WOW!!! I just picked up a high-grade copy of this issue and considered myself lucky to have it. Owning the original art for the cover? A true Grail indeed! Congrats!
