Black Bat by
Ron Salas
Cassandra Cain is my favorite Batgirl. I remember when she debuted in the "No Man's Land" story and I immediately took a liking to her. I went on to collect her solo series regularly, even when I wasn't buying other Bat-books. I'm a pretty big fan of martial arts characters (big surprise, right?) and here was a young woman who could go toe-to-toe with Batman himself. She was raised to be an assassin, but instead became a hero. I also really liked her friendship with Spoiler and her occasional rivalry with Tim Drake. It's a shame that she isn't being currently utilized by DC, but I'm sure she'll reappear someday. Anyway, Ron once again outdid himself with another beautiful commission. The brushwork here is just gorgeous and I love Cassandra's hair & cape, in particular. This cityscape is pretty awesome, as well. Thanks, Ron!
If you like this piece then please do go buy some books featuring Ron's work in either physical or digital format and/or go commission him yourself.
