Description

When I saw that Doug TenNapel was doing a kickstarter for his Sketchbook Archives I couldn't resist backing it. I had grown up with Doug's work so knew I had to be part of the kickstarter. When I saw that one of the tiers was for an 11x17 ink wash commission I knew that what the tier I was going to be backing.

I figured everyone was going to be getting an Earthworm Jim or one of Doug's many other creations but I wanted to go outside the box for the piece and possibly step outside of Doug's comfort zone. I decided to go with my favorite commission idea. A woman in a kimono. When I saw Doug post the finished piece I immediately loved what he had come up with. The piece is elegant but very distinctive as being done by Doug. An awesome addition to the collection.
