DescriptionI decided to change the direction the figure was facing and photo referenced it with my own pose. This time around I like the chest expansion and the arch of the back and the exaggerated foreshortening. While it loses some of the realism of the first attempt in regards to the arms and hands, I feel this conveys a sense of power and effort that is required to capture the essence of this immortal composition. The challenge is also getting the hair right, as well as the head. Dale Keown once wrote that the size of the head determines the size of the build on your figures. This version of Clark is considerably younger, probably 25, so making sure he keeps his boyish looks while retaining the notion that this is an adult rather is a challenging balance to achieve.
