I'd seen samples of Agnes' work on the CAF and then I met her at the Boston Comic Con in 2012. She had samples of her work available and I thought she'd do a nice take on the Legion of Super-Heroes.
She has done a couple of Legion related commissions since then:
So, I put a Legion vs. Fatal Five volleyball game down on the list that I keep for Kathy. Kathy followed up with Agnes for my birthday/Father's Day and I think it's terrific. There are lots of nice touches:
- Validus zapping Cosmic Boy's ice cream cone.
- Sun Boy giving the Persuader a hot foot.
- Tharok giving Ferro Lad a noogie
- Princess Projectra tricking the Emerald Empress into chasing her Eye thinking it's a volleyball
- Superboy whacking the volleyball - which is being eaten by the Sun Eater - at Mano who is set to destroy it.
All round good fun.

P.P.S. while viewing a Facebook page, I remembered something that I'd forgotten when I commissioned this piece. The Legion had been turned into kids three times during the Adventure Comics run - in issues 317, 338, and 356.
