All Over Coffee

I discovered this weekly strip through my daughter who is in art school in St. Louis. She saw Paul Madonna's book "All Over Coffee" and asked me to buy it for her. It's certainly not a typical comic strip other than the fact that it combines words and pictures. I love Madonna's wash drawings and particularly loved the message in this piece. In hard times like we have had recently, beauty can indeed seem frivolous, but I heartily second his thoughts on the matter. The full quote reads "In hard times beauty can seem frivolous, but take it away and all you're left with is hard times"
