WHAT—WOLVERINE AND THE XMEN 16 PAGE 17!

COMMENTS—Continuing to release art from my final issue of Wolverine and the X-Men. Last page from the Hellfire Club scene. From page 16 to 17 there is a well placed cut in time. We go from Cade brandishing a gun to his Father emerging from a dark chamber room having gorged himself on two voluptuous women. He questions why Cade is keeping to himself and inquires to the whereabouts of Sir Winston. We can rightly assume that based on the servant mopping the floor of blood that Sir Winston is no longer with us. The reserved demeanor and tipping of the glasses by the remaining members tips us off that they did, indeed, strike a deal. Only, as the following macabre caption points out, it will be their last, "A few days after that... I killed them all as well." Chilling. Note the calla lilly floral display in the BG. Calla lilly. The flower of death. Beautiful page. Lots of nice detail.
