While mostly, and rightly, renowned for his artwork on mega-seller Spy-strip XIII, William Vance has been building a strong body of work during the last 50 years.

He has always been attracted to draw adventure-type strips settled in ancient times, middle ages certainly being one of his favourites.

With only 2 episodes, Rodric is one of the lesser-known series fully written and illustrated by William Vance. Still, his authority on the brush, his sharply defined lines, the composition of the page show him as a true master in full command of his art

Thanks Alessio! It looks like Vance is acquiring mythical status these days and deservedly so. I'm then quite happy to have found a prime example of his art back in the days...
