Megazine 297; Judge Dredd; issue Cover

I just love this cover. No computer trickery at all, it is all pens and markers. I asked Paul to explain how it all came about...

"I worked up the image in ink and used grey markers to tone, plus red marker on the truncheon. This was just something I was doing for fun really... The size of the art is smaller than the printed Meg, [it is] about 7-9 inches. and is on a sheet of A4 paper... This is 'the' Original and only piece that was used to print the cover from."

So there you have it. Started as a sketch, ended up as a cover of a Meg! It's a great story, and a great piece from a great artist. In this digital age, it's so nice to have something that mirrors the printed cover exactly drawn by hand.

Big, big thanks to Paul for selling it to me. I intend to be buried clutching it :-)
