DescriptionI started buying comics in 1973 and I was all about the team or team ups. Avengers, Defenders, Team-Up and Two-in-One, more heroes the better. The following year I opened up more (must have been the paper route money). A year plus into collecting I already knew Gil Kane was my favorite artist so I began picking up DD as he was the regular cover artist. From 1974 on I loved this cover at first site and am thrilled to add it to my collection. Big bonus is Klaus is my favorite inker over Gil. Pure magic!Social/Sharing |

This is a great pick-up, Kirk! Kane and Jansen Daredevil art is always so impressive. This cover has a lot of great qualities; I especially like the family cowering at the bottom. Cool stuff!

Incredible cover--only Gil could make B- and C-teamers like Torpedo look so awesome. Love the depth and texture on the page...

I'm with you there Kirk. Kane was the very first artist whose work I recognized on sight. And I love Janson's inks on him. Actually, I like just about anyone inking Gil. But there's something magically about the Kane/Janson combo, as this great cover amply displays! Congrats!

Janson is just perfect on everybody, but the combination with Kane is astonishing. Excellent acquisition!
