Description

Gene Colan, when I first encountered his art in the 80's, was an acquired taste. Everything was so fluid and dark that I originally didn't like it. Then I was introduced to his early Sub-Mariner comic and then Tomb of Dracula for which the darkness was absolutely necessary. When I finally felt as though I understood his art, that was when I loved it.
