Karate Kid vs. Kato and Kato by Lee Ferguson

Karate Kid vs. Kato has been an idea for this commission series for years. But then when Dynamite started publishing Green Hornet comics, they introduced a new Kato, the daughter of the original. I read her story and enjoyed the heck out of it. So I was torn on which Kato to have fight Val Armorr. Until I realized I could just have him fight both of them! I mean, Karate Kid has access to a time bubble, so he could easily gather both Katos together at their peaks for the mother of all sparring sessions! Lee Ferguson did a great job on his issues of Kato's solo series a couple of years ago, so I e-mailed him with the idea and he was all for it. And he did a spectacular job with it! I love the rooftop setting and how easily Val is defending against the father and daughter team. This will be a learning session for all of them. Thanks again to Lee!

Although both Katos are expert martial artists and masters of many styles, Val Armorr just knows more fighting techniques than both of them. I think that they could surprise him, especially if they use teamwork, but ultimately Karate Kid is gonna come out on top.
