DescriptionPen & ink piece by Orson Lowell, from Everybody's magazine July 1916, from a story called 'Speedy' by Holworthy Hall. Lowell was a master line artist in the early part of the 1900s, a contemporary of James Montgomery Flagg and Charles Dana Gibson. Lowell provided a number of striking illustrations for Everybody's in this time zone. This one is around 18" square, on bristol paper.Social/Sharing |
