This is the complete package. Noir gloom, death, crime, cops, and the unexpected humor of the last panel -- and the dog is trying to be tough, MAKING HIM CUTER. All that and one of those great architectural "Spirit" logos in the first panel. If you were have only one Eisner piece (and lo and behold, that's not you, dude), this would be one to have.
